Ark Encounter & Creation Museum #2

This 2nd trip to the NEW Ark Encounter & the Creation Museum in Kentucky was planned due to the overwhelming interest of folks in seeing these two awesome attractions. At the Ark Encounter you will experience a life-sized reconstruction of Noah’s ark, built according to the dimensions given in the Bible. This marvel of engineering is 7 stories tall and is the largest timber-frame structure in the world, full of world-class exhibits designed to answer your questions about the biblical account of Noah’s Ark. You will experience history in a completely different way at the Creation Museum where this state-of-the-art facility has breathed life into history. Murals, realistic scenery, over 50 exotic animals, life-sized people, a special-effects theater plus the Stargazer’s Planetarium are just some of the outstanding features you will see that bring the pages of the Bible to life. Inside the museum are 160 incredible exhibits and 3 gardens accentuate the beautiful outdoor landscape. Come along on this inspiring trip and prepare to be amazed!

Lucy The Elephant & Nuts Galore

Since 1899, the Edwards-Freeman Nut Company has had one of the largest assortments of goodies you’ll ever find under one roof. This factory outlet store in Conshohocken, PA was converted into an old-fashioned nut museum and candy landmark! Traveling to New Jersey you will enjoy a delicious included buffet lunch at the Smithville Inn before exploring the wide collection of shoppes at Historic Smithville & Village Green. In Margate, NJ you will be able to climb Lucy, the world’s largest elephant! From high inside this 6-story high National Historic Landmark you can get a spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean & surrounding shore! Linda is glad to be going back to visit Lucy and invites you to come along with her for this fun-filled day!

National Quartet Convention
Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Southern gospel music’s largest annual event is now being held in Pigeon Forge, TN, a family-friendly atmosphere sitting at the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The National Quartet Convention is an experience like no other. You will hear many well-known southern gospel groups and prominent speakers. Morning chapel services with 2 major artists, along with a speaker, will be held at the LeConte Center and they have packed each night with Gospel Music’s premier artists. They will also be holding daily Artist Showcases each afternoon plus a new Thursday Matinee where you can hear some of the top artists in Gospel Music. We are very excited to be returning to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the NQC and it would be our pleasure to have you join us.

Progressive Dine Around ~ Church Style

This NEW one-day tour combines the best of architecture, history, various places of worship and food in Frederick County, MD. Our guided tour will allow us to enjoy eating multiple courses at historic churches located in popular historic districts and nearby countryside including visiting the grave of Francis Scott Key. This should prove to be an interesting way to “eat our way” through an area of our neighboring state of Maryland ~ which has been called “America in Miniature” because so much is packed into its 10,450 square miles of land and water. Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad

Experience one of America’s premier narrated train rides with wildlife, fall foliage scenery and history - it’s all here on the Potomac Eagle Railroad in Romney, WV. This is one of America’s most beautiful train rides and you will want to be sure to bring your camera! We will go through “The Trough”, a narrow gorge through which the South Branch of the Potomac River runs. This area is accessible only by rail or small boat and is known to be the nesting home of the bald eagle. We will also be stopping at a Country Store in Romney before taking our train ride. Come along for a day of railroad FUN at its best!

Linda's Almost 70th Birthday
"New Odyssey" at Penn's Peak

This year we are celebrating Linda’s 70th birthday with several different trips and this one day “Pre-birthday” tour will take us to the beautiful mountaintop entertainment facility of Penn’s Peak for an amazing show by New Odyssey. This unique group of 3 guys is from Chicago and plays all types of music from across the decades. These songs are performed on 30 different musical instruments including a pocket trumpet, accordion, sousaphone, melodica, banjo, and bass trumpet plus many more. They love to make every performance a memorable experience with a combination of fun, audience interaction, and humor along with some amazing arrangements! Stops will also be made to visit the delightful Chocolate Shoppe & Bakery of Premise Maid Candies as well as Country Junction, the World’s Largest General Store where you follow the Yellow Brick Road to find your way through their amazing store. This delightful day tour at this beautiful time of the year is sure to be a fun time!

Brooklyn Tabernacle & 9/11 Memorial

A wonderful way to spend the Lord’s Day is attending a worship service at the Brooklyn Tabernacle. We will be blessed by an inspiring message and also have the opportunity to hear the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir as they minister to us in music. Come with an open heart and mind to receive the blessings in store for all of us this day. Before the service, you will have time to get your own lunch in the area in or around the church. Following this uplifting service, we will be driving into Manhattan where we will visit the National September 11 Memorial which honors those who lost their lives that fateful day. The Memorial’s twin reflecting pools are each nearly an acre in size and feature large manmade waterfalls. The Memorial Museum is a multi-level building and tells the story of 9/11 ~ you may choose to visit that on your own while we are here in lower Manhattan. We trust that it will work out with your plans to join us for this Sunday trip to New York.
